The last 3 months have been a whirlwind for me. I spent 9 weeks traveling. I did an amazing shark dive in Fiji, reconnected with my roots back in the States, and finally had my first visit to an Asian mega-city in Hong Kong!
It was fantastic. But I'm very glad to be back home here in Noumea. I missed the sea and the slower pace of life I've built here. And I missed all of you. While I was traveling I didn't send any newsletters or publish any videos.
But I wasn't just resting on my laurels. In addition to the joys of visiting new places and experiencing different cultures and wildlife, and reconnecting with my family on the other side of globe, I got extremely stoked on fitness and living well.
Sometimes the pattern-interrupt is a great reminder of what's truly important in your life. I truly cherish the ability to travel, and the curiousity and energy to do so. I've managed to build a huge base of physical fitness and energy to allow me to remain healthy, energetic and up for new experiences despite the inevitable challenges of travel, jetlag, diet and nutritional changes. And I'm so grateful for that.
While I was gone - I kept training, roughly 2x per week with a few short breaks. Plenty of content coming on my YT soon on what workouts I did the whole time I was gone. I also managed to lose a small amount of weight despite eating out more than I have in the past few years, and never holding back on portion sizes or calorie counting. More to follow on this - but I think I owe it to the robust base of habits I've built over the last few years in physical fitness.
I'll try to send out this letter more frequently int he coming months - but I'm not going to hold myself to a strict schedule - I'll send letters as often as I have something valuable or interesting to say, and no more.
As always, feel free to reply with comments, questions, or let me know future topics you'd like to hear about from me - I read every response and comment personally, even if I don't respond.
Have an excellent week folks!
-John
